The Café at Books & Books
by Anja
It was so much fun to spend a few days in Miami. I had lived there for about three years before I moved to Switzerland, and it was fun to be back in “my” city and to spend some convivial days with Sun and Marjan. The weather was rather cool, so instead of relaxing by the beach we devoted most of our time to exploring new (and old) places to eat.
It was great to see that some of my beloved cafés and restaurants were still around. Among them the Café at Books & Books. Not only is Books & Books a great bookstore with three locations in Miami, the Miami Beach location on Lincoln Road also features a great outdoor café – always my first choice for a great lunch.
Books & Books offers a variety of fresh lunch choices, many great sandwiches, salads, burgers, soups etc. Yet, despite all the great options I find myself ordering the same thing over and over again – “The South Beach”, a grilled turkey sandwich with brie, pear, watercress and mango chutney butter, accompanied by a fresh salad (or fries, if you prefer). So good! Their raspberry iced tea is a great fit for this meal.
So, whenever you’re in search for a great lunch in Miami Beach, try the Café at Books & Books!
