It's fig season and one of my favorite appetizers to serve around this time of the year are fresh figs cut in half and topped with some horseradish cream cheese. It's as easy as it is tasteful.

Here in Switzerland horseradish cream cheese is readily available, but you can easily make it yourself by mixing regular cream cheese with some fresh horse radish. The delicate flavor of the fresh figs and the pungent horseradish make a marvelous combination. Give it a try!
