Q'ero - Reminiscing Peruvian Food and Culture

Before my travels to Peru last spring, I had discovered a small, Peruvian restaurant in San Diego that is a treasure! Word of mouth has made this restaurant so popular, that getting a reservation a week in advance can at times be a challenge. Located on the main street of downtown Encinitas (Coast Highway), you can explore this charming city by the beach and take your chances for available tables at lunch time; as the menus do not change for lunch or dinner. The decorations and ambiance are authentically Peruvian. However, the menu has influences from all over Latin America, such as the Argentinean Empanadas (which are a must to order!).

This quaint, amiable restaurant gives you the feel of dining at a friend’s house with homemade meals. The dishes are full of flavor and give you all the comforts and flavors of Latin America. I have never had a disappointing experience!

My personal favorites are the short ribs and their fish specials. They have a fabulous wine selection, but also try their specialty non-alcoholic drinks: unique flavors and healthy for you! Tres Leche is for dessert!

Check out their website for more details.
I can’t wait for you to share your experience at Q'ero Restaurant with me.
