Where to Eat in Vancouver

The 2010 Winter Olympic Games will the big ticket for avid fans of both Vancouver and all those who enjoy the snow and activities that follow. I personally enjoy the snow- watching it from the inside of my cabin as I prepare a warm meal for all my friends who enjoy skiing. One thing for certain, I love Vancouver. Not just for its beauty, but also for its multicultural cuisines.

One restaurant in particular that caught my attention was the Boathouse. Nestled outside the big city, this casual cabin style house serves some of the best seafood dishes I have ever had in Vancouver. There is nothing new or exciting about their menu or how they prepare their food; it’s just good quality fish, served to perfection!

And the view of the restaurant is fantastic. I recommend you make your reservations in advance to guarantee a table by the window which over looks the lake surrounded by generous, lush, green mountains. The view is as satisfying as the meal they serve. Rarely am I impressed with restaurants that feature views…usually they compensate for their inadequate menu. Not the Boathouse! Both are equally worthy of this Savorychick’s praise.

So if you are planning to go to Vancouver for the winter games, check out the Boathouse!
