La Place in OBA Amsterdam

Amsterdam is bicycle heaven with bike paths on every street with their own bike traffic lights, pathways, rules and infrastructure. The third day in Amsterdam, we rented bicycles from the hotel and rode all over town and how fun it was! We stopped for lunch at the 7th floor of the OBA (Central Public Library) that opened in 2007 and is near the Central Station. The building has a state of art library system with modern architecture and interior design. It has an underground bike parking garage which was very convenient - and it's free. It's a must stop place for good priced quality food, the view, and the interior design of the library.

La Place is a self service, cafeteria style with good quality food. You can pick your selections from the display of fresh meat and seafood (to be grilled in front of you), vegetables, tons of desserts, pizzas, fruits, smoothie and more....... The additional bonus? You can eat outside in the terrace looking over the entire city of Amsterdam! They open from 10 am to 10 pm everyday, so you can have dinner too. But then you'll miss the great day light view...
